Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) Screening Event - May 2013

Leith Hill Action Group 10K Run

Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) are Back to Life's chosen charity for 2013.  Over the course of the May bank holiday weekend, BTL's director Jo Lawrence successfully organised a cardiac screening event for 200 young adults between the ages of 14 - 35 to test for undiagnosed heart conditions that may lead to sudden death syndrome (SDS), a heart-breaking condition that sees 12 young adults die in the UK every year.

CRY's work is instrumental in both raising awareness and actively screening the population to help those at risk find help before it is too late.

Read more about the event, as well as it's press coverage, in our news article for the event.
